Accommodation and service
At Rjúpnavellir, accommodation is available in two cabins and three cottages. The larger cabin has room for 24 people and the smaller one for 20 people. Both cabins have bunk beds and are well equipped for large groups. Two of the cottages are for 2-6 guests and one for up to eight people. In the area there is a marked camping site but it is also possible to camp elsewhere with the consent of the service provider.
From the beginning, Rjúpnavellir has been a popular choice of stay for horseback riders and hikings, the location is on the main road and the cabins are suitable for large groups. It is well equipped for the horses and there are many exciting riding and hiking trails nearby.
In the nearby area of Rjúpnavellir, there are also endless possibilities of fun routes for both motorized and ordinary cyclists.
Rjúpnavellir is also an ideal place for various events, such as workshops, anniversaries, family reunions, day trips, hiking, kayak trips and more.
Rjúpnavelli's location, on the edge of the highlands, also offers the possibility for fun and exciting winter outdoor activities, such as hiking, snowmobiling and jeep tours.
There is a great swimming pool in Laugalandsskóli, with hot tubs and steam room which is a 30 minute drive from Rjúpnavellir. As well as various shops and services in Hella where the driving distance is 40 minutes.
Cabins
Cabin 1
The cabin was built in 2002 and is 100 sqm, paneled, it has a large hallway and terrace. Sleeping bag space for 22. There are sleeping areas for 18 and in a separate room double bed and two bunk beds. The cabin is heated with a fireplace. There are two toilets, electricity and cold water. The toilet comes with toilet paper. Good cooking facilities for large and small groups with refrigerator with freezer, microwave, stove, and oven. General kitchen utensils, pots and kettle.
Cabin 2
The capin was built in 2004, paneled, bright and cozy. Sleeping bag space for 18. There are sleeping areas for 14 and in a separate room double bed and two bunk beds. The capin is heated with a fireplace. There are two toilets, electricity and cold water. Good entrance hall and spacious terrace. The toilet always comes with toilet paper. There is a spacious kitchen with a fridge freezer, stove and oven. General kitchen utensils, pots and kettle. Tables and benches for 20 people.
Cottages
Cottage 1
The cottage is about 30 sqm. The house is heated by electricity. The house has accommodation and facilities for up to six people. Shower, stove, oven and all other general tableware are available.
Cottage 2
Cottage 2 is about 30 sqm. The house is heated by electricity. The house has accommodation and facilities for up to six people. Shower, stove, oven and all other general tableware are available.
Cottage 3
Cottage 3 is about 40 sqm. The house is heated by electricity. The house has accommodation and facilities for eight to ten people. Shower, stove, oven and all other general tableware are available.
